The Niagara Unit of the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL)

As one of the smaller Units of ACBL,  we are big in friendliness and hospitality. Please join us at one of our tournaments, or one of our clubs for a friendly game of bridge. We offer games at various levels, and always welcome guests. We hope to see you at the table!

Due to the unprecedented situation we are facing, all of our Niagara Area Bridge Clubs will be closed until further notice.  However, here's a WIN-WIN for everyone! You can get your bridge fix and support your local club at the same time! Bridge Base Online (BBO) has teamed with ACBL to provide online tournaments that will support your local club. Not only will the bulk of your fee go to the clubs where you play, but ACBL Black Masterpoints will be awarded!! If you are not a member of BBO yet, join here

BBO offers both open and restricted Support Your Club (SYC) games. These games award 50% more points, and are with members from BCON or NOTL.  Click here to get a weekly schedule of the Virtual Club Games. Our neighbour clubs have combined their efforts for this game, so please look for the BCON game to meet members from both clubs.  Click here for instructions on how to play online with just your friends from BCON & NOTL. Registration for all games opens 2 hours before game time.

To play in the other Support Your Club games, go to ACBL World, and look for the tournaments listed as "SYC." These are great games, and our clubs get a significant portion of your fee. The games are played in sections, and are stratified. Have some fun, give it a try and Support Your Club!

2020 Tournament Update:

All face-to-face tournaments have been cancelled for the remainder of 2020.

However, ACBL is hosting online tournaments and Silver Point Weeks via the BBO platform. Please go to the ACBL website for full details.

Here in Niagara, ACBL Unit 255, we are home to two bridge clubs, located in St. Catharines, and Niagara-on-the-Lake. Each club has it's own character, and many of our members belong to both clubs.

Our Niagara Bridge, ACBL Unit 255, is a small and successful Bridge Unit, run by volunteers who love Bridge and the camaraderie that getting involved brings. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of the Bridge administration, and gain a better understanding of how our ACBL Community is organized. If you would like to join our team, or would like to nominate someone, please download a nomination form here

Nominees must be ACBL members in the Niagara Area, Unit 255. Nominations must be received by November 18, 2020. For more information, please contact Muriel Tremblay at muriel@cmtmc.ca
